Consultant and Professional Manager and Chartered Engineer with 47 years’ experience in all areas of the power industry. Coal and oil plants up to 660MW, nuclear plants up to 600MW, renewable plants up to 300MW, on and off shore wind 226MW, CHP plants up to 1875MWe.

Experience of starting up a company in the power sector. Developed the business from a conventional power base to become involved in emerging power technologies, waste to energy, wind farms and wave energy.

Jonathan

A highly experienced Projects Manager/Projects Engineer in the Power Generation/IT and Automotive industries. Successfully delivering high value (£20m+) projects on-time, on-budget to a high standard. Highly qualified in all 3 industries, holding PRINCE2, MCSE, CCNA, MCP, MCSA, IA Foxboro and others. Extensive engine experience in gas and diesel, with in-depth knowledge of the majority of Control Systems, both engine and DCS control. Custom software development for engine controls.

Successfully delivered projects to the required standard based on asset finance and bank funded with RBS and others. 

Closely working the various National Grid balancing mechanisms including STOR, FFR, EFR capacity market and others.

An experienced Control System Engineer responsible for the monitoring and maintenance 51 MW National Grid STOR Sites across the UK as well as all company CAD and Sketchup design work, supply chain and staff management with key achievements in the following areas:

  • Designing and implementing monitoring software for STOR sites across the UK which highlights operational statistics, site functionality, and advanced notice of areas for concern.
  • The ground-up redesign and refurbishment of Alderney Power Station including a fully functional 3D modelling design which accounted for all aspects of installation and functional working.
  • Sourcing and implementing a Preferred Supplier List to support project supply chains.
